After apps, lite games are now the new rage

The lite model takes up to 10 times less area, making them apt for telephones with lower configurations. PubG Mobile, even when performed on decreased picture settings, calls for 1.5GB of the area. NEW DELHI: After launching lite apps for social media and services, publishers of famous games, like PubG Mobile and Real Cricket 2018, have brought out lite versions of these video games.

According to a February 2019 file by industry tracker techARC, 28% of smartphones offered in India in 2018 were priced beneath ₹10,000; that’s a huge marketplace that sports businesses certainly do not want to ignore.

“Lite apps have evolved through social media corporations to penetrate the user base that still buys entry-level gadgets. A comparable trend is now being seen in the gaming phase, wherein developers are inclined to change off elements like actual global photographs to attract entry-level game enthusiasts,” says Faisal Kawoosa, founder and lead analyst, techARC.

Some of the popular lite games on the Google Play store include Nautilus’ Real Cricket Go, which requires 35MB of space, and the unique Real Cricket 2018, which requires more than 300MB of space.

The famous multiplayer online game PubG Mobile makers has released its lite version in beta. It has a smaller map with 40 gamers and a document size of 35MB, unlike the flagship model, which has bigger maps with 100 gamers and a document size of 1.6GB.

“While users will love to have heavy apps and video games, they are constrained by their telephones’ RAM and ROM configuration. After installing the critical apps, they’re left with very little reminiscence to download any of the huge video games,” says Dinesh Prasad, CEO and founder of BlueSky Inventions, a software program services organization.

Though a few video games allow customers to reduce sports information, resolution, and body fees, they dissipate more resources than their lite model, which factors out Kawoosa. For instance, PubG Mobile, even if played on decreased picture settings, requires 1.5GB of space.

As developers move toward innovative internet apps, Prasad adds many hobbies to HTML video games and lite video games with low-resolution pictures. Ultimately, sports developers need people to play their games. Even if the games are free, they can make cash through ads. Lite video games will help them tap game enthusiasts in that section.
