Honor’s George Zhao talks View 20 price and the company’s future phones

At the recent Honor View 20 launch event in Paris, we got a short threat to meet agency President George Zhao. Only minutes after Zhao left the level, the ever-smiley government chatted to a collection of journalists about Honor’s present-day flagship cellphone and its future aims. Here’s what went down.

Honor’s rebrand and what it means

Honor brought its new logo to the event, shifting away from the signage used for its launch in 2013. Zhao talked theatrically about moving from lowercase to uppercase letters and from a fixed color to a transferring color, symbolizing how the organization had become more ambitious and dynamic.

Several manufacturers are also investigating ways to close this gap, be it Samsung with Dex or Google with Fuschia. It looks like a sensible area for Honor to attempt tapping into. Whether it has the chops—while other larger businesses are yet to crack this—remains to be seen.

The final factor Zhao noted on future smartphones pertains to AR and VR applications, which he thinks the industry is only finding its feet in. Apart from verifying that Honor is already working on merchandise at this location, he didn’t mention specifics. “I agree with the idea that within destiny, the digital global will merge with truth,” he stated. It’s an ambitious statement, but I wouldn’t anticipate something less to pop out of the Honor brand nowadays.
