If 2018 was about notches, then 2019 seems like the year when all manufacturers try their first-rate to eliminate it. The nice full-display screen show implementation I’ve seen up to now has got to be Vivo’s Apex 2019 smartphone. It does not have the front-dealing with the camera, though, so I’ll allow it to slide.
There’s, however, a brand new phone on the block from Oppo, and I’ve got to mention that it has the most uncommon-searching notch I’ve ever seen on a smartphone. Here, see for yourself:
It’s now not the fashionable-searching pop-up digicam module we have previously visible with phones like the Vivo V15 Pro. Instead, Reno’s camera seems to come out with a triangular module that pops out. I understand; it looks a little weird initially, but I dig it virtually. It looks like a shark’s fin, no? Am I the only one that thinks that?
I am not a large fan of Oppo Find X’s sliding mechanism. There’s an excessive amount to cope with, and I need my phone to be a tool for me instead of a treasured commodity that I’ll pamper while using it. The preferred pop-up camera module additionally seems a little bizarre. Reno’s wedge-fashioned peeking shooter, alternatively, stuck my attention.
I noticed it in advance this morning on Twitter, and I’d be mendacious if I said I wasn’t watching it for a good minute. Slashleaks even published a video showing this module in motion. Check it out –
Another reason I like Reno’s module is that it also houses the speaker and the front-going-through flash. Yes, the module is big enough to fit all of that, and the result is an easy full-screen display.
With all that being said, there may still be a lot that we don’t know about this unique cellphone. Oppo hasn’t confirmed anything yet, so I’ll reserve my judgment on the smartphone for when it is launched.
