State-owned oil and gasoline conserving corporation Pertamina has launched a software program called PertafloSIM, which is designed to measure the movement of oil and gas via its pipelines from wells to the point of sale.
The software is an innovation by Pertamina’s engineers and technicians in cooperation with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) ‘s Research Consortium OPPINET.
Pertamina planning, funding, and danger control director Heru Setiawan stated the device could improve performance in the upstream enterprise because the software program’s rate becomes cheaper than the commercial software that was typically rented with the aid of Pertamina.
“Currently, Pertamina is growing pipeline networks throughout a huge range of oil and gas blocks. The software will significantly aid efficiency in the upstream sector,” Heru stated in an announcement obtained lately.
He said the software program’s overall performance had been proven with facts from the field. He added that the software program offered solutions to diverse issues at some point in operations.
“The software has had an ordeal software at Tambun field, which has a complicated network – dry gasoline, black oil, and multiphase compositional models,” Heru stated, adding that Pertamina and the ITB had cooperated to broaden a tool to measure the flow of oil and gas along the pipeline for the beyond 18 years.
PertafloSIM has additionally been established with the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas) and the upstream director of Pertamina, which are ability customers of the software program, Heru said. (BBN)
