Tide Works Technology® Inc. (Tide works), a complete-carrier issuer of complete terminal operating system (TOS) answers, announced that South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) has effectively long gone live with Tideworks’ graphical making plans solution, Spinnaker®, at the Port of Charleston’s Wando Welch and North Charleston terminals. This is the first phase of the Port of Charleston task and the second implementation of Tideworks’ TOS answers within the SCPA community. Inland Port Dillon went live with Tideworks’ Intermodal Pro® terminal running device in April 2018.
In this first segment of the mission, all stevedores within the port complex have access to the system’s platform to increase method visibility throughout the terminal. Implementation of Tideworks’ TOS at the Port of Charleston will support SCPA’s broader goals to successfully manage growing box volumes and decrease flip times through comprehensive graphical planning, improved inventory accuracy, and greater productivity.
The cross-stay of this initial segment represents the primary milestone of the Port of Charleston mission with Tideworks. To start later this year, the second section of the venture will include the implementation of Tideworks’ subsequent technology TOS Mainsail®, Traffic Control™, the Terminal View® 3D data visualization system; Tide works Insight™ and Advent Intermodal Solutions’ eModal® port community platform.
The implementations at the Port of Charleston enhance SCPA’s partnership with Tide Works, which started with its greenfield intermodal rail terminal, Inland Port Dillon. In April 2018, the terminal went live with Tideworks’ intermodal terminal working solutions and the Intermodal Pro® TOS, GateVision® gate working machine, Traffic Control™ gadget dispatch system, and Tide Works Insight™. Inland Port Dillon was the primary intermodal rail facility to install Tide Works Insight.
